Description of Business
As a comprehensive insurance agency for non-life and life insurance, we offer optimum insurance proposals to all our corporate and individual customers based on analysis of corporate risks and household financial planning. In addition to providing insurance proposals, we also have a system in place to deal with unexpected accidents and provide support for customers.
In addition, as a core exclusive agent for Sompo Japan Insurance Co., Ltd., we have deeper understanding of Sompo Japan’s products than independent agents, and have built a strong collaborative system with Sompo Japan. Exclusive agents and independent agents both have their advantages and disadvantages, but we strive to provide services that take full advantage of our strengths as an insurer’s exclusive agent.

Rooted in the local community for 39 years, Pliant has had a walk-in insurance shop for 9 years, making it a pioneer in the insurance shop industry in Sasebo City. Customers can receive insurance consultations while drinking their favorite coffee from the adjoining HAPPY TRAILS COFFEE.

Pliant Inc. Tokyo Branch provides insurance (non-life and life insurance) necessary for living and doing business in Japan primarily to non-Japanese residents of the Tokyo metropolitan area. (If introduced by our business partners, non-Japanese residents of other areas are also welcome.)
For everything from introducing insurance options and delivering policies to providing support in the event of an accident, our staff can serve customers directly in English, Chinese, and Korean without an interpreter.
For Chinese customers, we have a particularly strong support system that, through cooperation with our Dalian office, extends from Japan to China.
We also have partnerships with real estate brokerage companies for foreigners, real estate management companies for foreigners, and livelihood support groups for foreigners living in Japan.

- We will always answer any questions customers may have regarding policy renewal.
- We will strive to provide polite and kind explanations, fully ascertain and confirm customers’ intentions, and offer coverage proposals that are in line with what customers want.
- We will strive to issue policy certificates quickly in order to provide our customers with peace of mind and satisfaction.
- After the policy certificate is delivered, we will confirm whether or not there is anything in the customer’s policy that is incorrect or unclear.
BCP (Business Continuity Plan)
Purpose of BCP (Business Continuity Plan) Formulation
The BCP was formulated to ensure that, in the event of an emergency such as an earthquake, we will fulfill our service responsibilities by continuing or promptly resuming important business operations as an insurance agent, promptly providing protection to our customers through insurance, and contributing to the local community, business partners, and other stakeholders.
